Pattern: Moth Heaven's Argyle Socks
Yarn: KnitPicks Palette in Black, Ash and Pool
Yardage: 75 grams Black, 50 grams Ash, a little Pool
Needles: 2.5mm DPNs
Instead of knitting these flat, (see previous entries - I hate sewing), I used a neat trick - do a yarnover at the beginning of the round, and then knit the last stitch of the round and the yarnover together. Then, turn so you are about to purl back the way you came, yarnover, purl the round and purl the last stitch together with the yarnover. Turn, so you are about to knit, and off you go again. It leaves quite a neat little seam, which I neglected to photograph.

Our friend, who shall remain nameless to save his pride, was talking about these socks while we were out at dinner. Unfortunately, he couldn't remember the term "argyle", and decided to call them "gargoyle" instead.
Now, I'm sure there are plenty of people out there knitting Arrrrgyle socks, but I'm thinking the pattern for Gargoyle socks would be much more complicated!
